Clear Admissions, Stronger Support

At IncludEd, we believe that successful support for a child starts long before their first day with us. It begins with a clear, thoughtful admissions process that prioritises understanding the whole child and building positive relationships with the people around them.

Every young person who comes to us has their own story, strengths, needs and experiences. Taking the time to gather the right information allows us to plan carefully and ensure we are ready to support them in the best possible way from the very start.

We then arrange an admissions meeting with the child and their family, alongside any professionals or agencies already supporting them. This meeting is an important opportunity to listen, learn and build trust. It allows us to understand the child not just through paperwork, but through conversation and collaboration.

These early conversations are vital. They help us:

  • Build positive relationships with families
  • Understand the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths
  • Work collaboratively with schools and external agencies
  • Ensure the right support and provision are in place from day one

After the admissions meeting has taken place, we agree a start date and transport arrangements.

At IncludEd, we know that strong partnerships between schools, families and professionals are key to helping young people thrive. By investing time at the admissions stage, we lay the foundations for a supportive, respectful and successful journey for every child we work with.
