‘We started working with IncludEd last year when we were seeking suitable learning environments for some children who were suffering from school avoidance and real difficult with self-regulation. The children in question found ‘mainstream’ schooling difficult and just needed somewhere more appropriate to meet their needs – that is when we discovered the IncludEd offer.

I can not praise the work and impact of IncludEd enough – particularly around work undertaken with 2/3 of our most challenging children.

Children previously non-engagers and suffering with extreme self-regulation issues found a ‘home’ at Include Ed – getting the support required in a fantastic environment – resulting in both being able to return to education and in time their home schools. The perfect outcome.

The staff at IncludEd work so closely with School – ensuring they really get to understand the needs of each child and identify successful strategies that can be adapted from school and used in the IncludEd provision.

Inclusion is at the heart of every conversation had with the staff at IncludEd- constantly asking what we can do better? Or how can we better meet the needs of each child?

It has been proven that no challenge is too great – set backs are met with determination and every day is a new day and a new start – just what these children needed.

As I have seen for myself, and been noted during OFSTED visits as part of my school inspection – the work of IncludEd is just simply amazing. Working so closely with schools and their staff; It is changing lives daily and providing an education for children who otherwise wouldn’t get into a school and who need it most.
